Today’s attraction was the Museum of Science and Industry. Similar in concept to the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. One of the exhibits was an egg incubator. Our timing was bad, and we never actually saw one hatch. The one in the middle was showing great promise though.
We fly home tomorrow. Lots to do before starting the new job.
I realized that I need to improve the image upload to generate a thumbnail automatically – maybe next week.

Random bits from today: Saw cool kaleidoscopes and mobiles today – I’d like to try and make some. Got a good deal on Widescreen versions of the Lord of the Ring trilogy. Decided that Loosen Bros. makes a decent Reisling. Discovered that the Thai restaurant from yesterday has a location less than a block from the hotel, just with a different name. Realized we are going to need more luggage space to get stuff home.
We visited the Art Institute of Chicago today, as well as the Museum of Contemperary Art. So much to look at that it becomes overwhelming. Both places had free admission today which made it easier to decide to leave without trying to see absolutely everything. Sometimes there is such a thing as too much beauty…

Spent the day rather aimlessly – or at least the aims we had weren’t achieved thanks to many things being closed. Restaurants were the highlight of the day, lunch at Chipotle and dinner at Star of Siam. Chipotle is a chain that makes burritos. Good, cheap, consistent. Not fine dining by any means, but well worth a visit if you are after something quick and filling – don’t go in for a light snack. Star of Siam definitely makes our list of restaurants worth a repeat visit. We also visited Navy Pier, and the Stained Glass Museum located there. Saw some amazing artwork there.
